Tony serves a diverse client base ranging from Fortune 500 companies to startup companies and independent inventors. Tony's practice involves providing counsel on various intellectual property matters, with a focus on preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent and trademark applications.
Prior to joining Marshall Melhorn, Tony worked as an intellectual property attorney at a law firm in Traverse City, Michigan, where he gained experience in all areas of intellectual property law. Tony prepared and prosecuted U.S. and foreign patent applications for technologies in the mechanical, medical device, and computer science fields. Tony has expertise in drafting and analyzing patentability, infringement, and freedom-to-operate opinions. Tony also regularly evaluated commercialization of intellectual property while working at Michigan State University's technology transfer office.
