Mr. Bodie joined Marshall & Melhorn in 2000 after practicing with other defense firms throughout Ohio, specializing in litigation and trial practice involving professional negligence. He practices in the firm’s medical malpractice and litigation sections. Since beginning his career, he has handled over 1000 professional negligence matters from inception to closing, and as lead counsel on numerous trials to verdict since 1991. He has been sought out as a speaker and presenter across the country to physicians, attorneys, students, residents, and other heathcare providers in the areas of professional negligence and trial tactics. He is an adjunct-associate professor for the University of Toledo Medical Center. Mr. Bodie has been recognized as “a rising star” by Ohio's Super Lawyers™ in 2005. He has further been recognized by his peers and been listed by Best Lawyers in America ® since 2005. Mr. Bodie is licensed to practice in Ohio, Michigan, and Federal courts.

1. Miller, et al. v. Defiance Hosp., et al.,(2006) LCCP # 200303797 (alleged failure to appropriately diagnose and treat brain lesion/stroke and wrongful death of 36 year old married female. Defense verdict)
2. Oliver v. Toledo Vascular Inst., et al., (2006) LCCP #200205027 (alleged failure to appropriately and timely diagnose and treat carotid artery occlusion in 48 year old female. Significant neurological damages alleged. Defense verdict)
