Mr. Borell is member of our litigation practice area. His principal areas of practice are commercial and corporate litigation, including construction litigation, and he has experience representing commercial and corporate entities in both state and federal court, including appeals. Mr. Borell joined Marshall & Melhorn in 2003, after practicing with other law firms and clerking for the Honorable James D. Bates, Lucas County Court of Common Pleas.
Mr. Borell is admitted to practice law in both Ohio and Michigan, before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.
Mr. Borell is a member of the Ohio Bar Association and Toledo Bar Association, (where he serves on the Grievance Investigation, Bar Admission and Membership Committees).

| In 2003, Mr. Borell was elected to a four-year term as a Member of the City Council of Sylvania. Mr. Borell is board member of Harbor Behavioral Healthcare, the Sylvania Area Joint Recreation District and the Sylvania Community Action Team, which works to address the issue of at risk behavior among community youth. Mr. Borell is also a member of the Lucas County Local Emergency Planning Committee. |
