Overview

PK and CJ are friends who were raised in NW Ohio and graduated from the University of Toledo. They liked the convenience of fast-casual dining, but not the guilt-ridden, lower quality side that often accompanies ‘faster’ establishments. So they conceptualized a place where convenient quality food tastes great and gives the customer choices – Balance was born. Healthy, fresh, and local. That is Balance.

The two formed a business partnership, and their concept took hold when the Maumee, Ohio location of Balance Grille opened.  It worked.  Good food, good customer service, and good business practices created a business culture where success begets success, proven repeatedly with the opening of each new Balance location.  Currently, the downtown Toledo location is generating a tremendous buzz with the first organic aquaponics farm downtown, just another case of PK and CJ keeping their promise to Balance’s customers to use the freshest ingredients. 

With Balance’s growth, its legal needs have grown as well.  The attorneys at Marshall Melhorn provide the legal support and counsel the founders need in order to focus on what they do best – continually improving how their customers experience Balance.
