Benjamin Sutter is a member of the firm’s Trusts and Estates practice group and focuses on Estate Planning, Probate Administration, and Trust Administration. In addition, he is a member of the firm’s Business group and assists clients with business and tax matters.

In his estate planning practice, Benjamin advises clients of all backgrounds on how to plan for their uncertain futures. His experiences range from assisting farmers and ranchers preserve a farming legacy for future generations to assisting parents with special needs children plan their child’s better future. Benjamin has experience drafting complex trusts including those designed for modern firearms owners to own Title II Firearms under the National Firearms Act and those designed to allow elders to preserve family legacies while simultaneously qualifying for Medicaid benefits. In addition, Benjamin has provided technical tax advice concerning the Federal income, gift, estate and generation-skipping taxes.

In his business practice, Benjamin represents for-profit and non-profit entities in commercial business transactions. Benjamin has the experience to assist you whether you are acquiring a new business or winding up a business that you have successfully run for years. Benjamin understands the complexities that come with running a successful business and has the acumen to help establish a solid business foundation so that you can spend more time growing your business and less time worrying about future legal issues. 

Professional / Community

Benjamin is on the Board of Directors for Northwest Ohio Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is a member of many community law organizations, including the Ohio Bar Association, Toledo Bar Association, and the Toledo Estate Planning Council. He is also a member and advocate of community organizations, such as Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and Ducks Unlimited. In addition, Benjamin is an Adjunct Professor and Instructor at his alma mater, Tiffin University, where he teaches in the University’s Paralegal Studies Program.
