Overview

Kenneth L. Lather is a member of the firm’s Wealth Preservation Group, and limits his practice to wealth succession planning and small business representation.  He has over 35 years of experience advising clients on estate tax and complex succession issues; inter-generational asset-protected trusts; probate and trust administrations; and creative charitable planning.  He also spends considerable time advising successful farm families on succession, business organization and risk minimization arrangements.  He employs a disciplined counseling-based method of advising clients, where considerable time is invested determining the true needs of his clients before solutions are proposed.

In 2002 Ken fulfilled the requirements prescribed by the Ohio State Bar Association to be designated as a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law, under criteria established by the Supreme Court of Ohio.  There are currently approximately 170 such Certified Specialists in the State of Ohio.  Additionally, Ken serves on the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association.
