John E. Young

John E. Young began his legal career at Marshall Melhorn as a summer law clerk and returned as an associate after graduating from law school.

John is a new associate in the firm’s Trusts and Estates group working in estate planning and probate administration. John also works with our business, employment, and litigation groups.

Before joining Marshall Melhorn, John worked as a law clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio, Western Division and an intern for a United States Magistrate Judge in the District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Western Division. In law school, John was a member of the University of Toledo Law Review and was a finalist in the Charles W. Fornoff Appellate Advocacy Competition.

Born and raised in Northwest Ohio, John is excited to grow his practice and serve his local community. In his free time, John enjoys spending time outdoors, going to a game, and getting out on the lake.
